The Bluegrass Soaring Society is pleased to announce the 30th Annual Mid-America Soaring Championships (#7 in the OVSS Series) at Jacobson Park off Richmond Road in Lexington, KY on August 26th and 27th 2006. CDs will be AJ Bhattacharyya (26th) and Frank Foster (27th). This is an open winch format, with an approx 1 hour window per round. Duration tasks and total number of rounds will be announced on the day of the contest. Classes will be Unlimited and RES on both days with trophies (1st thru 3rd place) being awarded for both Expert and Sportsman in each class. Landings will be standard L6 runway type. Pilots meeting will be between 9:00 and 9:30 on each day and flying will begin shortly thereafter. Fees will, be $15.00 for one class and 20.00 for two classes for each day. Lunch and drinks will be provided on Saturday the 26th, compliments of the BSS. Dinner will be at approx 7:00 PM at Mi Mexico off Richmond Road. More info at http://members.aol.com/bgsoaring/.
