It seems to be a very odd looking sort of model helicopter that's designed to spoof the eye into thinking that its not hovering in front of your face. Its not a sailplane, of course but its interesting that its possible to build a flying device that can trick our eyes into not seeing something that's there (since I seem to spend a lot of time when flying looking for something that's there but it seems to have disappeared!).
