I cannot help but thinking of V-tail each time I encounter its related 
subject. My thought is ...

Observation obtain with hinged V-tail as justification for V-tail platform in 
general may be one behavoir of a feature seeker. Am I one myself?.  V-tail 
operated by elevon do not necessary share effect and response equal to an 
experimental V-tail on spindle (no [stab+moving] surfaces).  Elevon has 
adverse pitch effect at rudder function, it will cost the glider total energy 
loss, if adverse pitch is not compensated with differential elevon set. That 
brings out the next question of, how to determine the amount of adverse and 
direction, work out a compensation plan, implement and verify it? 

On the other hand, the spindle V-tail if adopted for its higher efficiency 
will defeated the hallmark of V-tail, light weight, stiff and indestructable 
almost.
