I helped a guy do the final setup of a Shadow Thursday before Visalia. His
first flght was Friday. I timed for him Saturday and Sunday. He is a good
pilot but has not had a lot of stick time in the last year +. He finished 14th
with his new Shadow.
As impressive as the Shadow is I still want a 2.4 GH carbon lite Supra. Is it
$400.00 better? IMHO Not for AMA TD.

The Supra and Onyx are totally different planes. If its just for California conditions (AMA TD), the Onyx is fine. The Supra is a better plane if you're going to demand some degree of performance (usually not required for Calif AMA TD) and it comes at a price. If it were me, I'd seriously take a look at the Shadow. I'm not going to get into the details, but Tom Copp at Composite Specialties will tell you more about it.
