Graupner / Multiplex 6-pin is nice. A little easier to assemble / disassemble than the Deans.

Also, you need proper strain releif. After soldering, heat stringing, either cover the whole thing with one big piece of heat shrink for the Deans, I think about 1/2" tube fits over it. Or you can use some hot glue to build up the strain releif area plus give you a little more to grab on other than wires.
