Jay, I cut off the original hook and Dremeled the plastic base up into the fuse
for a new tow hook mount.

Then with my dremel cut open a slot 4.00" long X 3/4" wide and glued in, with 5
min epoxy, a 1/8" ply base for mounting an adjustable Airtronics tow hook.

Right now my hook is set at the C/G which is 3.00" aft of the wing L/E and my
launch height is as good as you could hope for. Also I have a 5/16" dia. carbon
rod inside the f/glass wing spar for additional bending stiffness during launch
and the 2.0 oz xtra weight of the carbon rod doesn't bother. Sand O/D of rod
for a slip fit.

Also you can use a steel rod instead of carbon for more ballast for windy
weather.

I used 5 min. epoxy for all assy. and it is just fine after one season. Winch
launch is not a problem either.

Regards, Dave Corven.
