Hi guys, Recently I got a chance to fly with the guys in Virginia, a club contest where they let me take second (obviously a mercy thing, but what do you expect for guys from VA? They take Southern hospitality pretty seriously over there!). But Lenny Strickland, Don Richmond , and John Moody and me went out on Sunday to do some soaring together, and it felt like a good time to shoot the CSS Sliver's 6 consecutive 2 min precision flights, which I thought were to be with in a 3m tape. But actually I had it wrong! Its three spot landings on a 3m tape, no time needed and three precision 2min flights in a 1/5m circle....
Good thing because three of them that day were not close enough for the 1 1/2 meter landings, the other three were 80's or 90s on the tape so ...its all good. Still its kind of good to know I can put up 6 flights in a row with a +/- 2 seconds time on a 3m tape. Anyone else working on CSS? I know Tom Broeski is well along, I think having competed Gold already and Doug Barry's completed Diamond as the first American to do it. Like LSF tasks, they aren't hard, but are a challenge that takes some concentration and persistence. So how about it? Who out there can put up three consecutive 2min flights landing in a 3m circle with a time of +/- 2 seconds on the clock? Give it a try and post the results of your attempts! Good luck this weekend.
