I have just updated the budget and my current calculations are that we are
about 5K short of our goal. This is a TREMENDOUS accomplishment and I
continue to be impressed by the generosity of the soaring community. There
has been a flurry of activity in the raffle and merchandise recently which
has helped tremendously. We are now within reach of the goal and I am very
confident that the next few weeks with your continuing support we will bring
the team to WC fully funded. We have 13 official team members and a number
of self funded supporters that are attending the WC totaling an entourage of
23 people. I am now getting the butterflys in the stomach that accompany
the approach of the event. My job is not done until we arrive in Adapazzari
with all our people and equipment and bring home the world championship.

Thanks to all of YOU we will be well prepared.

Thanks again.

Subject: [RCSE] WC Supras for sale (after the contest)

As most of you know, I tend to sell my toys right after a contest - the
Worlds is no different. I'm taking 3 virtually pristine Supras to represent
US honor in about 2 1/2 weeks. I'll be selling 2 of them either at the
contest, or upon my return. This trip is getting quite expensive, and we're
still about 12 grand shy of our budget goals. The pilots make up that
difference.
