The CD of a major event is busy enough before, during, and usually
wiped out after the event. An extra responsibility like collecting model
information is something the CD, usually a volunteer who does not fly the
event, probably doesn't need.
Ask yourself this question: just exactly what would I do with this
information if I had it?
