I have had the same conversation/argument with a couple of builders I know.
It seems the fibrelease is a water based liquid and like a freshly waxed car
in the rain, it just beads. If you follow the directions and just apply it
to your new unwaxed polished mold,  ( the directions do not say to wax
first) YOU WILL F'up your mold, I can send you pictures of my experience. I
would suggest using partall wax and many layers of it, I took my mold to
work and waxed it every hour for an 8 hour shift. I was gun shy after
spending so much time building a mold and having it scrapped on the first
lay-up. I haven't had a problem since and I am NOT using fibrelease #1153.
