For those of the Handlaunch persuasion: Buckeye Soaring Society of Ohio is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Hand Launch Toss. Location is the Cleveland Metroparks, Rocky River Reservation, Tyler Field on Valley Parkway near Cleveland's west side. This is an AMA sanctioned event scheduled for Saturday, May 13th. Registration at 9:00AM with pilot's meeting at 9:30. Entry fee is $10.00 Awards for 1st thru 3rd place in Open and 1st in Junior. Rounds and tasks to be determined as per number of entrants with a minimum of 3 rounds to be flown. Field is available until 5:00PM so we will fly as many rounds as possible with open winch and high start available at the conclusion of the event. This location can be very challenging due to it's location in the valley of the Metroparks and it proves to be a real test of air reading abilities and flying skills. Got retriever poles? Bring'em, you might need 'em! Refreshments will be provided but pack a lunch!
