I know that thin airfoils stalls later, but sharper, cause it has a thin LE
and a  sharped LE should behave like a turbolator; then  a thick one stalls
before but softer. This is the reason cause many modeller prefere the second
way but the first is better from the point of view of drag.
 Did You try a tip turbolator?
