Held at one of the finest thermal sites in the USA, the AMA soaring field
in Muncie. Marc Gellart and the boys held a TRUE soaring contest. Man on
Man scoring with seeded flight groups. (That means the best pilots of the day
fly against and are scored against each other) It was the last, and deciding
contest in the Ohio Valley Soaring Series. All of the modern high tech ships
were there, Cobra, Mantis, Millennium, Psyko and we got our butts kicked by a
big ole antique wooden airplane.
I couldn't make it on Saturday but it was nice seeing everyone Sunday and I
look forward to flying with ya again. If you missed it, you really missed a
good contest.
