Lee, don't worry about it....the plane is such a floater that the weight your concerned about won't really matter. I've flown and built 2 of them back in the 70's.....Don't get bored with all the air time you'll get.  I've built and flown all of Ed's planes other than Paramount.  All great.  If you really want a treat, get the plans to the Pierce 970. Way ahead of its time.
