What I did to reduce the amount of lead in the nose of my G.L. was to 
replace the balsa nose with one made of basswood. It's heavier and I 
hollowed it out for the lead, extending the balance moment arm (less lead) 
and it's more durable as my club can attest to ( I'm on my third rebuild, 
some people just don't learn <G>).
