Wow, a year? That is not encouraging. I ordered the same plane 3 months
ago. Don says Feb. maybe but I expect it to be longer. It is always
longer. I hope it is not a year. I would like to go down to Poway and
compete in the IHLG competition they have every year, but being new to the
sport, I was hoping to have my planes for a while to practice. If it is a
year, guess you won't be seeing me there until 2002.

Since I am new to the sport, this is my first season, it is not like I have
a full hanger of stuff to fly while I am waiting for planes to come in. I
met someone who was kind enough to give me an old climax to practice. As
there has been very light lift around here lately, I may just be able to fly
it on the slopes too. I made a new horizontal stab yesterday for it and
hope to fly it today.

Subject: [RCSE] Bozo hears the sound of raindeer hoofs

The damn cell phone rang as I was about chow down on a fine dinner of Brown
Rice, steamed Tofu, steamed Carrots and a nice salad and an oil free
dressing. (Bozo is my writin name but I now call myself "Starvin
Marvin"(Starvin Marvin is a South Park guy*)) Fat free food is not what I am
used to eating! But at 240 pounds, things are starting to get a bit out of
hand.
Back to the phone...
Its Don Peters....and his bag of toys....seems the guy wants MY address...He
is shipping me the new poly floater...(I have no idea what the thing is
called)....
Now the reason I am sharing this is simple...
I HAD TO WAIT ONE FULL YEAR FOR THIS PLANE. Let me say this again...
I HAD TO WAIT ONE FULL YEAR....
So when I here that so and so has been waiting 2 months for such and such
plane from Transylvania or what ever... I think " Thats nothin...lighten up
dude" And for Gods sake stop trying to beat up on the guys who are puttin
planes together for folks who don't know how. The model industry is a very
slippery buisness at its best. Ask your self what happened to Mark
Allen...where is Mark...He took his fine talents in mold making and works in
the marine industry. Why??? cause he NEEDED TO EAT and guys that buy toy
airplanes are all a bunch of cheap bastards. Somehow if a guy is trying to
make a profit...It is viewed as some unholy ripoff.

You are all lucky that there are a few guys out there who are still building
stuff that you can buy.

Seasons Beatings.

Your ever so humble... Bozo
PS
You shall have a full report on the new HLG toy the day it arrives. Giddyup
