Seems to me it might be interesting to curve or sweep the trailing edge
forward to meet the hingeline.  It would offer no aileron ends to create
drag (similar to trileron theory but without cutting and linking two
surfaces).
Any thoughts on this?

Something a bit more graceful, of course, with a shallower angle between TE
and hingeline.
