Charles,
        I do not know about your world, but all contests in the Midwest you can
enter anything you want, the more the better.  RES is not "Beginner RES", it
is another class to fly that has certain restrictions on airframe, that's
it.  If ever there is an event for beginners it is usually titled Sportsman
or something and they enter Unlimited and they give a set of trophies to
guys that have met some criteria to be there.  Usually LSF Level 2 or below.

        I love flying my RES/Nostalgia ship, an Airtonics Grand Esprit.  Evwerytime
there is RES she is in the show.  She is by no means a glass slipper, but is
very capable and just is fun to fly!  Thats the bottom line is it not...

Sorry but doesn't that defeat the purpose of RES? What's the point, so the
top pilots can take home more trophies?
