Don't let the postmark statement fool or scare you. The only restriction is
that you cannot send it too soon. The entry window remains open until all
the slots are filled. All I had to do the past two years is print the
application form, fill in the blanks and drop it in the mail after the
application window opens. One of my club members sent his in weeks after the
applications were being accepted and he got in just fine.

I think the 'first come, first served' approach is just fine. And yes, my
entry to the SWC has been accepted. Entries are still open there also. Mail
in your application and come see me for some chili on Friday evening.
