I see this a lot, and I've thought the same thing - really, at what point does the discus launch put HLG into the same category as thermal duration?? if you can run 7 minute tasks from a throw, what makes that different than say 2meter?? I always thought the beauty of handlaunch was hooking a thermal from 10 feet and riding it out for 30 - 60 seconds, sqeaking out 2 minutes... why not just put towhooks on them and call it 1.5M thermal duration? bring it on, brent ; ) RCSE-List facilities provided by Model Airplane News.
