I had an Spirit 100 set up such way.. it works fine to slow down your plane
a lot, however you will need to sinchronyze some down elevator.. I used to
do it manually (not mixers)

Hi- Everyone & Merry Xmas& a Happy New Year!
I have been flying a rudder- elevator only Sailplane for several
year's.
I now what to start flying a sailplane with aileron's. I'm thinking
of building the Great Planes Sprit 100" that has aileron's and
flap's.
What I would like to know is, can you use the flap's as Airbrake's
by setting them on the throttle stick& setting flap's level when
T.Stick is in middle position, then when you push the stick one way
your flap's would be down and the other way they would be up, would
they be working as Airbrakes set up that way?
I don't want to buy new radio, if I don't have to.

                                       Thank You
