I seriously doubt that there are many contest that the servo makes the difference to whether or not the pilot enters the winners circle. I have digital�s in a couple of planes and analogs in the others. For me the race(color) of the servo has never had any effect on the way the plane fly�s only the price tag. The biggest mistake I have made regarding servos is using resin geared servos where I should have had a metal gear, and that forced me to withdraw from a contest.  I really think you will find very few pilots that can truly tell a difference. They have just gotten sucked into thinking they would have placed higher if they would have spent more money. The reality is practice practice practice.
