2. I cannot fly the Sailaire that I built in 1978 and flew in the 1979
LSF tournament in Lockport, IL because it has had a toothed V-belt
skid.
I have a friend who went to fly in the NOS nats a couple years ago, and same thing, he was not allowed to fly the planes he flew and won with in the 70s because they are modified, but were allowed to be flown that way back then. What's up with that? Bill G.
