I recently (2 years ago) put together yet another CLOU, and fly it in our RES contests. My first one broke the spar during a hand-tow in 1967. It had a Bonner 4RS with Harmonic Drive servos. It took some time before we realized that the 1/16"x1/8' pine spar was undersized. :)
