FMS also works well with the old Dave Brown serial port box.

    If you're going to get serious about a flight simulator, here's another item you should consider.  Get an "RCJOY" interface box from Lew Engineering.  Their URL was www.leweng.com but it doesn't seem to be working right now.  This box, along with a cable for your particular transmitter plugs seamlessly (At least with Windows) into a USB port and allows you to actually use your transmitter to "fly" with a simulator.  I use mine with FMS (highly recommended) and CockpitMaster.  BTW, the "random loss of power - so deadstick land" option in CockpitMaster is great fun and good practice.
