The link to the Mantis History article does not work for me.  Are others also having this problem?

PS:  Gordy . . . . I have subscribed to RCSD.  But my December issue has not arrived yet, and I'd just like to see this article

WOW! :-)

http://www.b2streamlines.com/RCSD.html

Highlights of the December 2003 issue:

  • The subject of Bill & Bunny Kuhlman's "On the 'Wing..." column is Jochen Haas' Taborca 3. As well as being featured on the cover of RCSD, the Taborca 3 is examined in detail within this monthšs column. An American source for the LET Model kit is also provided. The cover photo shows Taborca 3 being launched at the Teck hills in southwest Germany. A color 8x10 "poster" of the cover photo can be downloaded from this link.
  • Last month, the front and back covers of RCSD featured the Mantis. As promised, we provide its history this month. Written by Anker Berg-Sonne, the story unfolds beginning with the evolution and concluding with interesting developments which are curently underway. Between the beginning of the Mantis to it's current state of evolution, Anker talks about the major changes that occured during the Barnes era, the Luckenbach influence, the Drela revolution, and Phil Barnes who came to the rescue, again. The complete article is available as a single PDF file by downloading from this link.
  • For those of you looking for Christmas or gift ideas throught the year, several members of the creative RCSD team have written a detailed article on the subject. Coordinated by Dave Register, the shopping list includes neat shop items, major projects, and a bunch of stuff in-between! Writers Bill & Bunny Kuhlman, Dave Garwood, Greg Smith, and Dave Register started their shopping early!
  • The Golden Age of model aviation, in the mind of Alvin Sugar, was the period roughly between 1965 and 1975, and hešs written a book to better explain his philosophy on the subject. This month, Bill & Bunny Kuhlman provide a review on Mr. Sugar's book, which includes tips, ideas and suggestions for anyone involved in the RC sailplane hobby.
  • When it comes to in-depth technical design and analysis, Mark Drela is no stranger to the sailplane community! And, he keeps track of anything sailplane related that crosses his path. Beginning last month, Mark shared his findings and analysis on "Skin Sizing of Stressed-Skin Wings." This month Mark covers the elastic modulus of common foams. Technical editors Bill & Bunny Kuhlman were pleased to have the opportunity to be in on the technical review of Mark's material, prepare the formatting for RCSD and, needless to say, get first read on Mark's articles!
