In your last statement...is not fast charging applying power in itself? Does not the load, in this case the battery pack plus the series resistance associated with the charge leads etc not viewed "by" the charger as the load? In other words folks, keeping your charge leads as short as possible, and using quality connectors will not only allow your charger to perform more accurately...but give you more meaningful readings (read accurate) as to the state of charge or capacity.
