I think it's more of a collectable model than most.  It really was well
ahead of its time.  I like to display mine it the hangar, they are very
recognizable and even non-sailplane people know the Hobie name.

I've collected many over the years, and I am the proud owner of two very
rare 10' versions, both are NIB, never been flown or radio gear
installed.  I have an orange one that I'll fly, a very interesting model to
fly.  Fun to mess around with, I'd like to try one on the slope.
Jim, weren't you an owner of a Hobie owned by one of the most beloved members of RCSE?  Now that one would be worth something today!
