Or you can get something in between. The Delco Voyager regular deep cycles, M24MF, M27MF, work very well. They cost an extra $10-$20 over the cheapies, but they work a lot better. My record for a M24MF is 7 years of use on F3b winches. You usually get 5 years out of them.

The cheap batteries are only good for one season, maybe two if you are lucky.
