Before everyone piles on Terry Mickle, we should all note that the extent of his
"complaining" (on RCSE, at least) was this statement:

> There was a posting before Visalia that there would be a JR 9303 given
> to the pilot finishing in 100th place. What ever happened with that?
> Since I finished in 100th place I'm just curios.

To me, that doesn't quite qualify as taking a sponsor/donor to task.

So I get this, Terry Mickle is unhappy because of a statement made on this
list that the DONATED JR 9303 radio was to go to "100th place". I just
looked at the original post. Is does indeed say 100th place, but NOT
necessarily in open.

Here's the message:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[EMAIL PROTECTED]/msg87492.html

100th place overall was:

100 James Ludwigson 2386

Odd he isn't writing posts about this.

Further, it amazes me that anyone would take a SPONSOR/DONOR to task for how
his donation was given away. I thought John Diniz explained it fairly well.
But even if you wanted to hold them to the fire on the 100th place thing, I
think it is just as easy to say it was 100th overall, not in open alone.

CVRC made the decision, and I can hardly see how anyone can be upset. This
was a last minute addition to their prize pool and the club decided how to
best use it.

Most have no idea how tenuous the relationship is with sponsors and getting
donations. If they did, we would see fewer posts along the lines that got
this thread started. Makes me wonder how quick JR will be to step up to the
plate for more donations the next time they are asked.

Oh well, let's get back to bashing Gordy. That's a far better sport!!
