In early 1992, I received an order for my airfoil plot program from a Gordy Stahl of Milwaukee, WI. About year later I received a call from Gordy. He was passing through Tullahoma and wanted to stop by and talk. It is difficult to tell a stranger how to get to my house so I met him at a service station in town and lead him to my house in the woods. I assumed he wanted to talk about plotting programs but all he wanted to talk about was models. I was just finishing up the basement office and shop of my new house and hadn't built a new model since the 1983 Nats so I didn't have anything to show him. We talked about model design and flying but Gordy didn't want to discuss contests. He was only interested in flying. Contests were dull and he wasn't interested in spending all day to fly only 5 or 6 short flights.
