Warning: The following opinion is NOT Gordy bashing! If you want to respond to it as such...Don't bother - PLEASE!

Sorry Canuck but you've NEVER met Gordy...You have NO IDEA how big those shoes are! <G> I think I'll just continue to be one of his acolytes and gaze on in wonder and sheer amazement. Actually, I've met Gordy and yes, he's kinda brusque, says it like it is, etc...However...More times (many more times) he's right than he is wrong.

IMO, it's a matter of opinion and perception...If your initial perception of him is that he's a rude, insufferable SOB, and because of that what could he possibly know (?), then your opinion is going to be pretty low and you won't even hear what he has to say...right wrong, or indifferent. In that case, you'll probably miss a good opportunity to learn stuff (sigh).

However...If your initial is that he comes off rude and is a PITA, but MAYBE he does know whereof he speaks...He has an awful lot of knowledge to share and is always more than willing to help others. As others have said...He probably does more, behind the scenes, to promote R/C Sailplanes, all over the world, than most other individuals. Besides...The man REALLY can fly a sailplane!!!

Gordy's one of those people that ya' just gotta know to love! <G>
