My first plane was a Gentle Lady. I took it out and
tried to toss it and nearly crashed it several times
so I loaded up and went to a local club for some help.
the guyes there were all gas fliers and nobody had any
launch equipment. It just so happened one of the guys
had a fishing pole in the back of his truck so we
fashioned a ring for the tow hook and one man sat in
the back of the pickup one drove and one flew the
plane on tow . that was the beginning of being hooked
on flying.
