There's a great hinge tape: Frost King from Lowes or Home Depot. It is a UV stable poly tape used for greenhouses. It's 3" wide, so you do have to cut it.
I also found that clear Hockey stick tape from Dicks or any other sporting goods shop is fantastic for both hinge tape and wing tape. Cheap also.

I did too, but half the adhesive was bad.
I got some really good mylar stuff from someone, if I can remember who,
I'll
let you know.
I've been making my own out of packing tape with very good success.
