Perhaps they'll accept a claim for an experimental remotely piloted aircraft?
I sent some UAV wings to NM by Fedex ground. They were very adequately packed in their cores with cardboard around the perimeter edge and a roll and a half of packing tape literally mummifying the whole thing. I had sent others this way and it wasn't a problem because there was at least 2" of foam covering the closest surface. They made it all the way to NM, then were returned by some snit the local transfer who didn't want to ship anything that wasn't completely covered with cardboard. They came all the way back to WA. just so I could cover the exposed sides with cardboard and they could then ship them back to NM. They were 5 days late because of that.........
