Thanks for the note Sheldon, its interesting that out of all the content in my post, it was the beard comment that you decide to offer up to the RC Soaring Exchange....

You mentioned soaring withdrawals cuz of cold and wet, and you arent' the only one out there who doesn't have weather around the corner to soar in....so do your part for the rest of us to keep the content about sailplanes and soaring...and leave the fun 'tagging' off line.

I laughed until ...well I reached for some kicker to reattach my Blaster Vertical.

The Blaster is worth the money and that implies durability, looks and capability.

Pay attention when you read to not use the slot in the boom for the rudder.  While it looks like the rudder is attached to the tube, in fact if you use the slot, only the front of the leading edge is actually attached to the boom, versus the carbon.  Its about equal to just putting a dot of glue on the leading edge of the vertical and sticking it to the end of the boom.

Use the same system as the XP4, cut off the boom slot sides, slot the vertical so that it fits over the center of the boom end, tack it in place with CA, then use two pieces of thin glass cloth to make a 'fillet' connection to the remaining surface of the vertical stab mount area.

Or glue it to the side.
