Your existing planes can usually be converted without too much problem. They 
will get a little more weight, so your wind penetration will be better, but 
landing speed may be hotter, depends on your flaps/crow setup. Added weight may 
men you might have to limit your g-loads in flight maneuvers.  Anyhow, if you 
already have TD ships you like, motorizing them would IMO be your most 
economical yet high-performance way to go.  One of the new outrunner brushless 
motors, some lipo packs and charger, will at a rough guess set you back about 
$300 
for converting an unlimited size ship. 2-meter TD ships could be converted for 
somewhat less, though the charger and batteries will still cost about he same. 
 So, maybe sell off part of the collection to pay for converting your 
favorites. Or sell the winch and pay for almost all of it;-)
