I received the set and watched the DVD. I intend to keep the DVD, but I don't yet know if I'll participate in the program. The DVD was fairly well produced, but filming of aircraft in flight was a bit shaky; perhaps the videographer should have used a tripod-mounted camera. Also, background noises and conversations during filming were distracting and gave the DVD a less-than-professional look. Any amateur videographer could have put this thing together.
The interesting part of the DVD was about RC jets. I hadn't seen or heard them up to yesterday; it was quite interesting for me. I also enjoyed the giant-scale segment. Beyond those two areas, the DVD wasn't impressive; the most I'll say is that it was interesting. The series as a whole might turn out to be worth something, but only time will tell. I'm not too interested and will probably send it back. I'm not sure if this is a direct AMA thing or a "partner" relationship sponsored for the AMA and as such making a profit for another company with the AMA getting a cut of the proceeds.
