I'm not sure why Dennis felt the need to tale my private mail to him and respond back to the list (there's enough off-topic stuff here already!), but so be it ... In any event, the real way that Mike's email address was harvested by spammers probably isn't due to nameless viruses or exploits, but instead it was probably just harvested off the web. After all, RCSE is archived in a few places, and you can read it on the web. For example, if you put Mike's address ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) into google, it finds a few hits on rcgroups.com. You could blame them, but they're not the only ones who archive RCSE like this. (Of course, it's also possible that a spammer or two has joined the group to harvest addresses -- spammers have done this before. But it's more likely that it was harvested off the web.) In any event, if you can't handle some spam, don't post to this or any other mailing list from that address. The spammers probably will find it eventually. And now for some (probably irrelevant, but it was signifigant to me!) soaring content : I've done a lot of slope soaring (when I look at the weather, the wind forcast is usually more important than anything else!) but beyond that, my soaring activities have generally involved some sort of powered plane with the power off, since the local soaring club is a 30 mile drive and I work weekends anyways, so if I do go up there on my day off, odds are it'll be empty anyways. Well, last friday I happened upon somebody flying with a hi-start. And I had a Spirit Elite in the car ... so I finally got to fly off a hi-start for the first time. It was definately neat. I'll have to try and find somebody with a winch up and try that sometime ... -- Doug McLaren, [EMAIL PROTECTED] MONEY IS THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL! SEND $9.95 FOR MORE DETAILS!
