You can view the results at: http://www.rmsadenver.com/scores/2005/0503/0503.htm We had a lighter than normal turnout since it was a rescheduled event due to snow the previous weekend and spring break weekend was here, but we had a great contest anyway. Since there were only 10 pilots we flew groups of 5 with the other 5 pilots as timers. There was a choice of strategy for line retrieving since there were not enough pilots to also fetch the lines. Some pilots chose to send their callers/timers down the line during the preptime to hurry back with the lines after the launch. Others chose to keep the timers near them until they were established - then send them down to get the lines in case of a relite... The conditions were quite challenging. We had a strong overcast with ocassional showers moving thru. There were periods of great lift and also much sink. Some rounds were won with 4 or 5 minute times.In accordance with F3J rules we allowed 1 throwout and in the end Skip Miller won 1.5 points ahead of me... There were some great flights in tough conditions. We all had a great time and really enjoy the format.
