The RF module is exactly that...The RF portion of the system. If the xtal module is being replaced with a synth module, and is compliant with the FCC regs, than there is no problem... That is assuming that the JR module is used with a JR tx. The same goes for the Hitec module. It is only to be used with Hitec transmitters. The same goes for all brands. I think the problems that existed in the past, were those related to unapproved (read modified or off brand) modules being used in transmitters.
