At first I was a little disappointed when I first realized that LiPos take more than an hour to charge. I figured that if I was charging at 1C then they would take 1 Hour to charge...makes sense right?
Well, as stated below my normal charge time varies between 70-90 minutes. Generally it's right at 89 minutes every time. After about 2 minutes the battery starts to charge at 1C (I guess the charger has to figure out some stuff first...) It stays at 1C for probably about 45 minutes or more then drops down to about .5C. From there it steadily drops. Once it hits the 45 minute mark the charger is showing that the pack has a voltage of 12.6V (3S pack). It stays around 12.59-12.60 for the rest of the charge. It would be nice to have batteries that don't weigh as much as NiMH or NiCd that pack just as much punch. What would be even better is if these batteries charged just as fast as NiCds and didn't explode :) Jared -----Original Message----- From: Mike Bailey [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Friday, April 08, 2005 1:49 PM To: soaring@airage.com Subject: Re: [RCSE] Re: new batteries You are right.
