Well, the foot of snow we had on Sunday is gone, the flying field is dry and
the temp was about 60, so it was a good day to get out at lunchtime and do some
tests.

My new Shadow 3 was put in my beater ICON and range tested. It showed slightly
better range than the hitec superslim that was in it before. All directions
were good so I launched and specked it out and no problems were observed.

My buddy Mike Verzuh came along and slammed his 57 module in and we were going
to see how in handled interference. We were very impressed. As long as I was
a few feet closer to the model, I had full control, as we got next to each
other the receiver would kick into failsafe.

I set the failsafe to 3/4 landing mode (flaps and elevator comp) and some left
rudder. I got some altitude and turned off the transmitter. There were no
glitches or wierdness - it simply put the flaps down and started a slow
circling descent. I let it run for about 30 seconds, then turned back on and
control was instantly back.

All in all very impressive for a PPM receiver.
