Just happened to catch this on MSNBC last night a live camera shot of a COD-Greyhound with a load of about 25 Navy folks that had gear problems that made a belly landing at Virginia Beach or Oceana I think. The pics must have been shot from a helicopter. Had the tailhook down and had feathered the starbord prop/engine and laid it right down on the numbers, caught the runway cable and was stopped in quick fashion. Flight deck egressed from overhead the rest out the back from the clamshell doors. The port engine /prop did not even touch the runway so really there should have not been much damage to the Greyhound.
