The Bluegrass Soaring Society is pleased to announce The 29th Annual Mid-America Soaring Championships (#6 in the OVSS Series). The contest will take place at Jacobson Park off Richmond Road in Lexington, KY on August 27th and 28th, 2005.
CD's will be AJ Bhattacharyya (27th) and Frank Foster (28th). This will be an open winch format, with a 1 hour 15 minutes window per round. Duration tasks and total number of rounds will be announced on the day of the contest. Landings will be L6 runway type. Classes will be Unlimited and RES on both days with trophies (1st thru 3rd place) being awarded for both Expert and Sportsman in each class. Pilots meeting will be between 9:00 and 9:30 on each day and flying will begin shortly thereafter. Fees will, be $15.00 for one class and 20.00 for two classes for each day. Lunch and drinks will be provided on Saturday the 27th, compliments of the BSS.
