The Albuquerque Soaring Association is recommending for its F5J
'outrunner' class  brushless motors like the Hacker A20-20L. While 
you're not interested in competition, you will definitely have more 
'scoot'.

[RCSE] Wind Dancer Motor Upgrade

Have a speed 400 motor with planetary gearbox with 3-cell LoPo's in my
PoleCat Wind Dancer.  Want to upgrade the motor to a brushless system. 
I do not fly it in competion - it's a fun flier for me.  I just want
more scoot to get to altitude.  What has worked for you?
