Why are you doing this? You got 17 projects with student submissions of which against some intra-organisational opposition you found 13 to be adequate for Debian's interest. And for those 13 now you ask for funding. Google may bring this down to 10, fine. But why are you doing so?

The community should do the ranking IMHO. This would involve a voting.

+1 past the deadline. Fabio should be the one, the only one who contacted me before the deadline. I put the "seeking substitute" to all the ideas of mine, IIRC, basically by principle, and I found substitutes for the others. Just like last year. This does not mean that I would not want to do he mentoring. Anybody doing a better job than me with the student and being available should please be doing it. The GSoC is about the students, not the mentors. So, count me in ... or out if you find someone else.
