I was given a Blue & White Power Mac G3 with two 8.5 GB SCSI-2 HDDs and an OS X 10.4 DVD. After updates, the 8.5 GB startup disk has filled up. I replaced the CD-R/W IDE optical drive with a DVD-R/W drive and the non-working IDE ZIP drive with a 20 GB HDD. However, OS X 10.4 will not let me choose the IDE HDD as a startup disk. Does anyone have a SCSI-2 HDD that is larger than 8.5 GB that they are not using that I could use as a startup disk? I've increased the RAM to it's maximum of 1GB and would like to replace the G3 CPU with a G4 CPU if I can get a larger startup disk. I'm in midtown Ventura.
