Greetings fellow wifi-users...
I was just wondering if there was a practical and free alternative to accessing the web via wifi instead of subscribing to a cable company for wifi access. I've heard that there are wifi antenaes that can reach out to as far as a 5mi radius that i can buy and install on my desktop. if i were to get such an antenae, would it be easy to get free wireless access to the internet?
also, would it be possible to create a repeater or a bridge (don't know if that's the proper technical term) so that i can extend that signal from my wireless AP to redistribute that signal/access to other computers at my home?
