Hello,
There are lots of places in Los Angeles. For Close out type things (read cheaper then normal) you can try All Electronics. www.allelectronics.com.
There is also MarVac, but I think the Pasadena office closed down. www.MarVac.com
Times when I have looked for things, but All Electronics did not have it, they have readily pointed me in the right direction.
Good luck.
Michael

Subject: [SOCALWUG] Solar Wifi Repeater
Hello Mike and SOCALWUG, Mike, thanks again for writing a great book. I keep referring back to it in my pursuit to learn more about WiFi. There are still many projects in there that I would like to try out. I was browsing through your book again last night and the chapter on the Solar WiFi Repeater caught my eye. I read the chapter before but this time got me even more interested. I think that's a really cool project and something I would like to try out. Do you or anybody on the list happen to know of a good store in the greater Los Angeles area that would carry materials for a project like this (solar panel, batteries, charge controller, etc.)? I have some access points and I know where to go for antennae (Frank's shop). I'm still fairly new to this area and I haven't found many good supply shops. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, if you haven't picked up Mike's book, go buy it NOW! I have learned so much from the projects that he has put in that book and have thought of other applications from what I learned. I learn best hands-on and this book is perfect for that kind of learning. Highly recommended!!!
